As soon as Game of Thrones’ fans saw Ed Sheeran’s cameo in it, they started talking about it on social media. Some comments were in favor of him, while some were totally against him.
Guess Ed Sheeran was totally pissed off with these negative comments, which is why, he temporarily deleted his Twitter account.
Yes, he was too sick of the negativity that was spread on social media and might be because of that, he simply quit Twitter without any explanation. Well, these are just speculations by fans; it’s difficult to confirm the actual reason of the account deletion.
On Monday night, the account was deleted, but on Tuesday, it was back to normal. It is highly possible that Sheeran must have deleted his Twitter account due to the backlash he received.
Earlier too, in an interview, Ed Sheeran had said that he doesn’t like negative comments on Twitter. The singer said,
“I’ve actually come off Twitter completely. I can’t read it. I go on it and there’s nothing but people saying mean things. Twitter’s a platform for that.”
When people saw that his account was deleted, here’s how they reacted;

Glad that Ed Sheeran’s account is back in action now. Negative comments are very common on social media; sometimes, trollers cross all their limits. Don’t you think this should stop right away?
