1. High Altitude Mountain Warfare
India boasts of a commendable mountain warfare expertise. Sharing mountainous borders with its neighbours China and Pakistan made it necessary for India to have a mountain warfare training good enough to beat the world. Selected soldiers from the UK, Germany, and the US are sent to Indian Army’s High Altitude Warfare School (HAWS) in Gulmarg, Jammu & Kashmir. It is regarded as one of the best warfare academies in the world.
2. Indian Remote Sensing (IRS) system
India developed its own Indian Remote Sensing satellite program in a bid to boost the country’s economy by aiding the fields of in the areas of agriculture, water resources, forestry and ecology, geology, water sheds, marine fisheries and coastal management. Previously India used to depend on the US for satellite. Owing to the sluggish pace of this process, over 2000 people died in the Odisha cyclone in 1999. With the system that is now in operation, the number could have been minimised by a fair margin.
3. Thorium-Based Nuclear Power
Thorium had been available to us since ages but it wasn’t used as a fuel because not many scientists thought of researching on it. The nuclear energy produced by means of Thorium lasts longer and is comparatively less radio toxic. India’s Mars mission doesn’t need any second introduction. Founded by Vikram Sarabhai, ISRO has achieved a lot many feats already and the Mars mission has served as the cherry on the cake. India became the first Asian and the fourth country in the world to reach the Mars’ orbit. Also, India’s project costed just around Rs 450 crore which made it the cheapest successful Mars orbital mission.
8. Indian Army

The only sector where jobs are somehow being generated has made India proud on the global front. The steady growth of the Indian IT sector has ensured that India become the second largest IT industry in the world.If the growth continues, we might possibly take over China in the coming years and sit proudly on the number one spot.
10. Indian Air Force
The most clinical military force of India, the Indian Air Force holds the title of the 4th most feared air force in the world. Its 1,820 air crafts in service, 905 Combat Planes, 595 Fighters and 310 Attackers make it a potent threat to any of the rivals. It also means that we remain well ahead of the developed nations like Germany and Britain.
