Before signing any film, actors want to know about the script and their role in the movie to ensure that they don’t do a project which might prove to be a mistake for their career.
However, there are cases where actors have signed movies even without listening to the script, just because the director or producer was their friend. Here are some examples:
1. Anushka Sharma – “PK”
She must be having some pretty good reasons for saying yes to Aamir Khan starrer “PK” without reading the script.
2. Katrina Kaif – “Jab Tak Hai Jaan” & “Ek Tha Tiger”
Katrina also signed Yash Chopra directed “Jab Tak Hai Jaan” without listening the script and she did the same with Salman Khan starrer “Ek Tha Tiger”.
3. Richa Chadda – Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela”
4. Shah Rukh Khan & Kajol – “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai”
These two actors signed Karan Johar’s directorial debut “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” without listening to the script as Karan is a very good friend of both of them.
5. Aamir Khan – “Awwal Number”
The Perfectionist Khan of Bollywood, Aamir Khan too did not read the script before signing Dev Anand directed “Awwal Number”.
6. Jimmy Shergill – “Shortcut Safari”
7. Ajay Devgn – “Raajneeti”
It has been heard that Ajay has refused to be a part of the sequel of movie “Raajneeti” as his role was not showcased properly in the first part and he was not happy with it. He signed the first part without hearing the script as the director of the movie Prakash Jha is his very good friend.
8. Deepika Padukone – Ayaan Mukherjee’s “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani”
9. Sonu Sood – Prabhudeva’s “Ramaiya Vastavaiya”
