Twitter is not just a medium for expressing opinions or sharing information but also a very powerful marketing platform. Celebs and Bollywood stars use it to keep in touch with their fans as well as to give updates about their projects. Besides, they also do marketing of their projects in a much planned way while investing their time on Twitter.
On Sunday night, a very strange incident took place on Twitter when many Indian movie stars tweeted the same thing, surprisingly on the same time and the pattern too was similar and all the tweets were made for promoting Reliance Jio. Business Tycoon Mukesh Ambani’s firm has launched Reliance Jio which is a 4G internet service and all these stars were involved in making Reliance Jio a top Trend on Twitter. Reliance Jio kept trending on top from 4 pm to 12 midnight.
One point that needs to be noticed after this incident is that our favorite stars are roped in by businesses to promote their products and services but it is our own duty to be smart enough and take decisions wisely. Don’t follow your favorite stars blindly; be wise enough not to be carried away.
