10 Deserving Players And Coaches Ignored By FIFA This Year

With the shortlists for The Player of the year and The Coach of the year announced,a controversy arose over the exclusion of a few deserving names from the list.
FIFA had considerable reasons for the exclusion of Luis Suarez,Radamel Falcao and a few more.
Years since the legacy of CR7 and Lionel messi kicked off,the winner is very much prejudiced amongst these two only.
However, this year it was FIFA world cup,the only chance for others to show their lustre.
Many of them did shined but still went unsighted. So,here’s a list of 10 such names including as many as four coaches.

10.Jorge Sampadi-Chile Manager

This man led his troop to knock out the defending champions and make the football world remember a new name. For sure he never expected theworld cup to be his,but atleast he would have expected some recognition and all what he got will surely let him know that he should expectations again even if he wins the world cup next time.

9.Keylor NavasGoalkeeper-Costa Rica

He dived, saved penalties, did everything he could had done for his side but still has gone unnoticed in front of the underperforming big names of the game.

8.Vahid Halildodzic-Coach-Algeria

He got his only chance to hog the limelight with a lowly side but still delivered and were the only side who posed any threat to the virtual winners. Even after all this, disqualified because FIFA just doesn’t likes new names.

7.Joel Campbell-Forward-Costa Rica

At the stage, where legends failed, this man delivered it.All the hard work has now went in vain as all his efforts were not enough even getting shortlisted.

6.Daniel Sturridge-Forward-England

Scored more goals, had one of his best seasons which still didn’t prove enough to get noticed.

5.Jose Pekerman-Coach-Colombia

He enabled his side to feature in the contender’s list but couldn’t ensure himself a name in FIFA’s shortlist

4.David Luiz-Defender-Brazil

He helped his side reach the semis.
He stood their even in the reconstruction of his side.
However,I guess the only thing FIFA saw were the tears he cried after the mauling of his side at the hands of the eventual winners.

3.Jorge Luis Pinto-Coach-Costa Rica

He got an average bunch of players, he returned with a classic team.
FIFA got a chance to applaud him, FIFA returned with a ticket for to watch the awards and clap for others.

2.Guillermo Ochoa-Goalkeeper-Mexico

His epic work in front of the goal posts earned him the title ‘Mexican Jesus.’It would better had they named him ‘Sapp Blatter’ atleast that would had given him a nomination he fittingly deserved.

1.Robin Van Persie-Manchester United/Netherlands

Unable to find a single reason for his exclusion. The only star still shining in a completely lost galaxy, this man did not lose his momentum and kept fighting. Though his efforts could not the change of his club but they surely
did help in for his nation. If not for Manu but atleast for Netherlands. He at any cost deserved to be in there.

Every year FIFA take the list and start reading the same name who help their already established clubs cherish a few more moments of
glory.Only once do these men get a chance to beat those favourites and the ones who do it should seriously be awarded.
