Sushant Singh Rajput, the 34 years old Bollywood actor, took his life by hanging himself from the ceiling yesterday at his Bandra residence. In the beginning, it was quite difficult to believe that a lively person like him who always had a smile on his face can take such a drastic step. It is being said that the actor was undergoing treatment for depression and as per his domestic help, Sushant appeared to be disturbed from the past few weeks.

1. Sushant Singh Rajput hailed from Patna, Bihar, and he had his father and four elder sisters in the family. One of his sisters, Mitu Singh is state level cricketer.

2. Sushant’s mother took her last breath in the year 2002 when Sushant was just 16 years old. Sushant was very close to his mother and even the last post on his Instagram account that he made before suicide was for his mother.

3. In 2002, Sushant’s family shifted to Delhi. After completing his schooling, Sushant took admission in Delhi College of Engineering for pursuing B.E (mechanical engineering). Sushant got the 7th rank in AIEEE 2003; he passed in 11 entrance exams and also won the National level Olympiad in Physics.

4. During college, Sushant got very busy in theatre and dance. He took admission in Shiamak Davar Dance Academy and also performed as background dancer in the 51st Filmfare Awards. He also went to Australia with the dance troupe to perform in the 2006 Commonwealth games.

5. He decided to quit college after completing 3 years of study as he was not getting time because of acting and dancing.

6. Sushant joined the Ekjute theatre group in Mumbai from where he was discovered by a team of Balaji Telefilms. He was selected after audition for the serial Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil but his fortune turned after he was casted in Zee TV’s Pavitra Rishta which went on to become one of the most loved shows of the Indian television.

7. In 2013, he debuted in Bollywood with “Kai Po Che!” and earned accolades for his performance. However, he impressed audiences the most in Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s biopic entitled “M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story”.

8. Sushant was a good human being and he donated Rs. 1 crore on behalf of a fan in Kerala relief funds as the state was battling with flood situation. He also donated Rs. 1.25 crore to Nagaland as it was also dealing with flood situation.

9. He was in a relationship with Ankita Lokhande for 6 years and after that, his name was linked with Kriti Sanon. It is being said that he was in a relationship with Rhea Chakraborty but both of them never accepted it.
