1. Zoo theory
According to the Zoo Theory aliens exist but would never actually make their presence known to humans so they cannot exert any kind of influence on human development. This theory also suggests that we are like animals who are being observed in a zoo by the aliens, being monitored by aliens who would not make any kind of contact with humans until we reach a certain level of advancement.
2. The whole universe is a computer
The “computer is the universe” theory say that the universe itself is actually a huge computer in which we live in. Black holes, galaxies, stars and all other things act as the circuits and processors of a motherboard where the most fundamental component of our universe is not actually a unit of matter, but a “bit”.
3. Life on Earth started from garbage
It is considered one of the silliest theories ever, the Garbage Theory suggests that the origins of life on Earth started billions of years ago, when the aliens dumped their trash on Earth.
4. Fire is made of an element called Phlogiston
In 1667, Johann Joachim Becher named physicist proposed to add another element to the existing list of chemical elements on Earth—Phogiston. According to the physicist, all combustible elements contain “Phogiston” and release it when they burn. Today, Phogistan only exists in our history books.
5. Life on the Sun
We know that the sun is basically an enormous nuclear furnace, in the 1700′s people thought something different about Sun. Even William Herschel, who discovered Uranus, thought that the sunspots were actually mountains.
6. Lambs grow like weeds
The ancient Greeks did lot of stupid things and one of them were that a lamb could grow right out of the ground, all you have to do is to attach stem to its navel. Pliny the Elder later mentioned it, and Europeans picked up this idea again in the 14th century.
7. The liver circulates blood while the heart circulates “the vital spirit”
A Second-century physician called Galen theorized that it is the liver that actually circulate blood, bile and phlegm in human body, while it is the heart that circulated the “vital spirit.”
8. Our universe is constantly smashing into a neighboring universe
According to the famous Clashing Branes Theory, our universe is actually a membrane floating in higher dimensional space and it constantly smash into a neighboring universe.
9. We create a universe every time we make a decision
This theory take the theory of the omniverse or having many worlds to a different level. It states that we give birth to a new universe every time we make a decision since that is how we create reality.
10. White holes exist
There’s black holes that suck everything inside it and some theories suggests that white holes also exist that supposedly spit everything out.
