69 years of Independence. A number of things have happened in the country so far. Some bad and many good. Here’s a list of things which managed to attract media attention from all over the world.
1. Kailash Satyarthi and team from Baachpan Bachao Andolan, which saved over 2600 children, won Nobel Peace Prize!
2. The Indian Navy increased it’s might by building INS Kolkata and the second aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya.
3. Supreme court recognized the transgenders as the third sex.
4. Mars Orbit Mission was not only successful but also, the cheapest! ISRO did it in the first attempt!
5. India became polio free officially on March 27. Thanks Rotatory!
6. 75% of the Kashmir population registered their votes for the democratic elections in the Jammu and Kashmir state, hence, shutting up mouths of Pakistanis and their financed separatists.
7. India’s cricket team won blind world cup in South Africa! Modi congratulated them personally .
8. Indian government took lead in rescuing not only Indians from war-torn Yemen but, people from countries like- US, UK and 39 others. Kudos to PM Modi, General VK Singh and the Indian Army!
