Have you ever wondered that as kids we always learnt one spelling as “COLOUR”, but our smart phones and MS Word autocorrect it as “COLOR”. It is not that the one we learnt in our childhood was wrong; instead both of the spellings are absolutely correct and world widely accepted.
There are few words which have same spellings but are pronounced differently. It is because both hold different accent in two different types of English languages, i.e. AMERICAN ENGLISH and BRITISH ENGLISH.
