This 10-Yr Boy Asks PM Modi To Stop World Tour & Visit His Village! Reason Will Shock You

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been criticized a lot by opposition parties for his foreign tours but this time, a 10 years old kid from Odisha has written a letter to him, asking ‘if he is travelling all around the globe, can’t he come to his village?’

This kid named Umesh Madhi is from Malkangiri district in Odisha where 73 children of 505 villages had lost their lives due to Japanese Encephalitis. The situation is very grim in this tribal dominated area and a kid of 10 years writing a letter to the PM for help clearly conveys the level of frustration and desperation.

The official sources have stated the death figure as 73; however Uday Shankar Mishra, the chief district medical officer, Malkangiri, claims that the actual number of children who died due to Japanese Encephalitis is 27 and other deaths took place on account of different reasons.

Umesh wrote in his letter,

“Save our lives. Many of my friends have died of Japanese fever. You are roaming around the globe. Cannot you come over to our village and see how children are dying here.”

He also wrote to PM that he is their last hope as he also wrote about those parents who have lost their kids to JE.

“Sir, you are touring different countries. Can’t you come down to our village and see the plights of people here.”

Umesh studies in the fourth standard in Polkanda Primary School which comes under Sikapali gram panchayat.

The state government has also accepted that for the past three-four days, situation has remained bleak. This is what Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Nruparaj Sahoo, who is presently in Malkangiri, told the reporters,

“The situation has remained grim even as the district administration has taken all possible measures to check the outbreak.”

We really hope that PMO takes a swift action and a 10-yr kid’s appeal to the PM is given proper importance.
