The Hindi film industry had a pretty disappointing 2022 as many movies fell flat on the box-office and it made things quite difficult for the industry which was already going through a slump because of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the New Year 2023 is going to start soon and there is a hope among the people of the industry that it will be better than 2022.
Here is a list of the most awaited movies of 2023:
1. Pathaan:
Shah Rukh Khan’s last release in the lead role was “Zero” which was a box-office failure and after that, the actor took a break from movies, though he was seen doing cameos in some flicks. SRK will make a comeback in the year 2023 with Siddharth Anand directed “Pathaan” that also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham and is slated to release on 25th January 2023.
2. Gadar 2:
The sequel of Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer “Gadar: Ek Prem Katha” is going to set the big screen on fire after 22 years of the release of the original one in the year 2001. The original lead cast will return in the sequel as well and the flick will be directed by Anil Sharma who was also the director of the first part.
3. Indian 2:
The southern superstar Kamal Haasan will be back as Indian once again in 2023; this movie will be a sequel of 1996 released “Indian”. Though the film was originally scheduled to release in 2017, it got delayed due to COVID-19. The flick it will also star Gulshan Grover, Kajal Aggarwal and Rakulpreet Singh in important roles.
4. Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan:
Fans of Salman Khan will be very happy as the actor’s 3 movies will release in 2023 including the action comedy “Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan” which will release on 21st April. It is a remake of 2014 released Tamil film “Veeram” and also stars the southern superstar Venkatesh, Jagapathi Babu, Pooja Hegde and others.
5. Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani:
Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt will come together once again after “Gully Boy” (2019) in “Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani” and interestingly, Karan Johar will also return as a director after 2016 for this flick which is slated to release on April 28, 2023.

6. Adipurush:
“Adipurush” has received a lot of flak because of its poor VFX and improper portrayal of characters of the Hindu epic Ramayan and its release has been postponed till June 2023 as well for this reason but still it remains one of the most awaited films of 2023 because it stars Prabhas in the lead role.
7. Jawan:
Shah Rukh Khan’s second release of 2023 will be Atlee directed “Jawan” and the movie will star big names of the southern cinema – Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi. It will release in June 2023 in total five languages (Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam) including Hindi.
8. Salaar:
The director Prashanth Neel is known for superhit Kannada movies- “KGF1” and “KGF2” and with Prabhas starrer “Salaar”, he is entering the Telugu cinema. The flick which is slated to release on 28th Sept 2023 also stars Shruti Haasan, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Jagapathi Babu in important roles.

9. Dunki:
Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani, the director who has given superhit movies like “Munnabhai MBBS”, “3 Idiots” and many more, are coming together for a flick titled as “Dunki” which also stars Taapsee Pannu and is slated to release on 22nd Dec 2023.

10. Bholaa:
Ajay Devgn and Tabu starrer movie is a remake of 2019 released Tamil film “Kaithi” and it is slated to release on 30th March 2023.
11. Tiger 3:
Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif will come together once again for the third part of the Tiger series and the actress Revathi is also said to be a part of the flick which is scheduled to release on November 10, 2023.
12. Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2:
There is no denying the fact that many of us wanted to see the sequel of “Bajrangi Bhaijaan”, a movie which not only made us laugh but cry as well. Moreover, fans will be glad to know that the sequel which will release in June 2023 will also star Harshaali Malhotra.
