12-Yr Girl Harassed By Goons On Bikes On Her Way To School; Case Lodged After Video Went Viral

The world is becoming a worse place to live and there’s not the least doubt about it, taking into consideration the ever-increasing crimes against women and children. On a regular basis, we come across rape cases and criminals are so cruel that they don’t even leave little kids. It’s indeed very shameful that their souls don’t tremble while making small children victims of their lust and wrong deeds. There’s absolutely no denying the fact that harassment or rape not only leaves physical scars but also mental agony which lasts for many years, probably for a lifetime.

Recently, a CCTV recording of a 12-yr school girl being harassed by goons on bikes went viral on the web and social media. The disgraceful incident took place in Punjab, Amritsar, and the video shows three bikers annoying a girl when she was going to school.

MK Sharma, Social Welfare Vice President, and Punjab Congress Education made a demand of installing cameras outside schools for making sure that these kinds of incidents are not repeated. As per him, police has lodged a case against the wrongdoers; however, no arrest has been made in this regard so far. Since the age of the victim is just 12, a case needs to be registered under Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses.

The pathetic and strange thing is that people who were present there merely served the purpose of mute spectators, as they didn’t intervene and preferred to avoid. Had the situation been the same if she was their daughter or sister?
