Death of a 13 years old Jain girl has shaken the city of Hyderabad as she has lost her life after fasting for 68 days. Yes, you read it right! This incident is definitely hard to believe but unfortunately, it’s true!
The girl’s name was Aradhana and she was observing fast in order to bring good fortune to her family. Aradhana’s father Laxmichand Sansadiya is a jeweler and has suffered huge losses in his business in recent times.
In order to find out what is going wrong in their lives, Aradhana’s parents met a priest in Chennai who told them that if Aradhana observes ‘Chaturmas’ fast, then the business will not only recover from losses but also become highly profitable.
Chaturmas fast is a 10-week long fast and on 3rd October, Aradhana’s fast ended and it was celebrated in a grand level, the event is called as “Paarana”.
The grandness of the event can be understood by the fact that it was attended by a Telangana minister, Padma Rao, from Secunderabad.
Aradhana was taken to hospital after she suffered from dehydration. Due to fasting for a long period, her intestines had dried up and the kidneys were also damaged badly, because of which Aradhana went into the state of Coma. Doctors in the hospital pronounced her “brought dead”.
Child rights association has lodged a complaint against her parents and is demanding an action against them for whatever they have done to their daughter.
How can parents be so insensitive towards their teenage daughter? They might get huge profits in business but they will never be able to get that daughter back!
