1. Nawazuddin Siddiqui was born in a small town Muzaffarnagar district in Uttar Pradesh from a Muslim family, the place where his father is a farmer.
2. He has nine siblings, seven brothers and two sisters.
3. He worked as a chemist in a petrochemical company after he graduated in science from Gurukul Kangri University in Haridwar, Uttarakand.
4. Then, he moved to Delhi, where he did a job of a watchman!
5. The village in which Nawazuddin Siddiqui lived had no movie theatre. So, to watch a movie, he had to go to the nearest town with his siblings, which was 45 Kilometers away. Yes, THAT much distance.
6. After doing his graduation from NSD, he shifted to Mumbai. 2004 was one of the worst years of his struggle because that was the time when he couldn’t even afford his rent. And look, where he is now!
7. When he was a child, he would stand in front of the mirror and enact scenes that played in his mind which weren’t from the movies because he never saw more than 5 films as a child.
8. Nawazuddin made his Bollywood debut in 1999, with a small role in Aamir Khan starrer, Sarfarosh. After that, he hung out at film studios and shootings but only got stereotypical roles.
9. The actor had done very small roles and was noticed for the first time in the movie New York in which he had played a role of a Muslim man wrongly accused of terror activities.
10. His first kiss was with his co-star Niharika Singh in Miss Lovely. He had confessed that before that, he had never kissed a girl, not even his wife even though he was married at a very young age.
11. In Sujoy Ghosh’s Kahaani, he was dressed in suits for the first time. Before that, he had never worn a suit. Hence, he couldn’t believe he could even carry it off.
12. The actor doesn’t speak much and doesn’t have a lot of friends. He can sit and say nothing for hours.

He has received 10 awards by now that includes Asian Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for Talaash: The Answer Lies Within, Screen Award for Best Supporting Actor for Talaash: The Answer Lies Within and Gangs of Wasseypur, Award for Best Actor for Dekh Indian Circus and Breakthrough Talent For work done in 2012.
