The Taj Mahal is so proportionately constructed, one can never imagine that it is taller than the Qutab Minar, the tallest minaret in the world! The Taj Mahal is 243.5ft. in height while the Qutab Minar is only 239ft.

Fact 4 – CIA Lost a Nuclear Device in the Himalayas, & Never Found it
In the 1960’s CIA in collaboration with IIB planned to place a nuclear-powered telemetry relay listening device on the summit of Nanda Devi.But due to dangerous weather conditions, they left the device near the summit of Nanda Devi. They returned the next spring to search for the device, which ended without success.

The first ever Finger Print Bureau in the world was established at Writer’s Building at Calcutta (now Kolkata) in the year 1897.
Fact 8 – Kodinhi, Kerala is a Twin Town
The village came to international attention for the unusually large number of multiple births in the region. The village is noted for having a high twinning rate although India has one of the lowest twinning rates in the world.

Yes, our very own favorite largest Indian Ayurvedic brand “Dabur” is actually an acronym of its founder Dr.S. K Burman who was also know as Daktar Burman
Fact 10 – Shrikant Jickhar – The Most Qualified Indian
He holds the Limca Book of Records for the most qualified person in the country. Began as a Medical Doctor (MBBS and MD) he did his Law (LL.B.) with Post-graduation in International Law (LL.M.) and his Masters in Business Administration (DBM and MBA) and in Journalism (B.Journ). He did his Masters in ten subjects. M.A. (Public Administration ; M.A. (Sociology) ; M.A. (Economics); M.A. (Sanskrit); M.A. (History); M.A.(English Literature); M.A. (Philosophy); M.A. (Political Science) ; M.A. (Ancient Indian History,Culture and Archaeology); M.A (Psychology). Fact – 11 Jantar Mantar Pillar signifies the Shortest & Longest Day
Jantar Mantar at Delhi has two pillars about 12 ft. in height and 17 ft apart, which determine the shortest and longest days of the year. On December 21, the shortest and longest days of the year. On December 21, the shortest day of the year, the southern pillar casts a shadow on the northern pillar, covering it entirely-starting from the base upwards. On June 21, the longest day of the year, no shadow falls on the northern pillar-absolutely ingenious.
Fact 12- Qutub Minar do not cast a shadow on 22 June
The historic Quatab Minar does not cast a shadow on June 22 every year-a rare phenomenon because on other days, the minar casts a shadow even at noon due to its structural leaning.
Fact 13- Nizam of Hyderabad never wore the same dress twice
The sixth Nizam of Hyderabad, Mir Mahbub Ali Khan, popularly known as Mahbub Ali Pasha, never wore the same clothes twice. His dressing room had the longest wardrobe in the world – a 240 ft long corridor – like chamber lined with cupboards on both sides.
Fact 14- Howrah Bridge does not have nuts and bolts
The bridge does not have nuts and bolts, but was formed by riveting the whole structure. It consumed 26,500 tons of steel, out of which 23,000 tons of high-tensile alloy steel, known as Tiscrom, were supplied by Tata Steel
Fact 15- Milkha Singh Won 79 out of 82 Competitions that he participated
Milkha Singh, the ‘Flying Sikh’, participated in 82 competitions and won 79 of them.
