1. Osho was born as Chandra Mohan Jain on 11 December 1931 and was also known as Acharya Rajneesh from the 1960s onwards, as Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh during the 1970s and 1980s, and latter was known as Osho.

2. Osho encouraged open attitude towards sexuality, due to which he was criticized by Indian press and he earned a name ‘Sex guru’.

3. He is the eldest of eleven children of a cloth merchant and his wife in Kuchwada, a small Indian village in the Raisen district, Madhya Pradesh.
