16 Years Old Girl Delivers A Baby. Says 12 Years Old Boy (Her Cousin) Is The Child’s Father

The kids of today are undoubtedly very smart but sometimes they indulge in such acts that are not only shameful but also inappropriate for their age.

A 16-yr girl has given birth to a child in Kochi and the father of the baby is a 12 years old boy.

Yes, you read it right! In fact, there are good chances that he may be the youngest father of India.

Police said that paternity tests have been conducted to confirm the relation of the two months old baby girl and the father who studies in eighth standard.

The young parents are cousins and neighbours as well. Presently, the baby girl is with Child Welfare Committee as the girl’s family is not ready to take her responsibility.

While the girl has claimed that she has been raped, the boy on the other hand alleges that the girl is responsible for whatever happened. Police has filed a case against the boy on the charges of rape, whereas the girl has been booked under Sections 7 (Sexual Assault) and 8 (not less than 3 years which may extend to 5 years and fine) of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

Jayakrishnan, the circle inspector of Kalamassery who is investigating the case, told PTI,

“We produced the statements in court and registered a case.”

The boy has been taken to another place from Kochi.

As per the data of State Crime Records Bureau, the number of cases filed against children in Kerela till July last year is 1570, out of which 520 cases are related to rape.

The cases registered under POCSO Act last year were 1,156 out of which Malappuram recorded highest with 138, Thiruvananthapuram Rural – 111, Ernakulam Rural – 96 and Kannur recorded 86.

We need to act fast to show the right path to the kids. What do you say?
