Hindi Medium and Half Girlfriend hit the theaters yesterday and makers of both the flicks had set really high expectations.
Shraddha Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor flick displayed a good performance on the first day but people, probably due to the element of romance.
On the other hand, people failed to realize Hindi Medium’s powerful storyline; those who watched it are spreading a positive word of mouth and it truly deserves it. Half Girlfriend witnessed a 30 percent occupancy on the 1st day, while Hindi Medium got just 15-20 percent.
Both the movies have got rave reviews from the critics but it seems public is more interested in romantic stories rather than some social ones. People give preference to masala movies, but in this they miss out on classy movies like Hindi Medium.

Half Girlfriend is based on the famous novel of Chetan Bhagat; Shraddha & Arjun share a very good chemistry and enjoy a huge fan following; this factor has contributed to a strong start.
On Friday, the film minted 10.27 crores, which is good enough. Hope the collections increase on Saturday; Shraddha Kapoor’s magic has worked here.

This Irrfan Khan and Saba Qamar film has received mixed reviews from the public; it is a different kind of flick and sheds light on the education system and the elite class. Once people try to understand the deeper meaning, they will surely enjoy this movie.
On Friday, it collected just 2.81 crores; it needs to perform well on Saturday and Sunday to get a good 1st weekend total.
According to us, both the movies are good but we strongly feel that Hindi Medium is a MUST WATCH in theaters; once you watch it, you are surely going to love everything about it.
