This Friday saw the release of 3 big films Haseena Parkar, Bhoomi & Newton. Well, a decent opening was expected, but sadly all the 3 movies failed to do so. Since last few weeks, a slow trend is being witnessed by Box Office, however, Akshay’s TEPK and Ajay Devgan’s Baadshaho were exceptional.
With these 2 movies, the hopes went high and everyone expected the Sanjay Dutt, Shraddha Kapoor & Rajkummar Rao starrers to do well and get good openings. The start was damn slow and disappointing. Let us have a look the collections Bhoomi and Newton, as the official figures of Haseena Parkar are not yet out.
Bhoomi!

#Bhoomi Fri ₹ 2.25 cr. India biz.

After a long long time, Sanjay Dutt has made a comeback on the big screen with Bhoomi and so, the makers had high expectations from it. Sadly, it could earn just 2.25 crores on the first day. Hope the collections rise on the weekend.
Newton!

#Newton witnessed ample growth in evening and night shows… Fri ₹ 96 lakhs. India biz.

It’s a wonderful movie and Rajkummar Rao has essayed a brilliant role but still it failed to woo the hearts of the audiences. The film has just earned 96 lakhs i.e. not even 1 crore. Looks as if people don’t favor socio-political dramas much.
How much do you think all 3 of them would earn on the first weekend?
