Sushant Singh Starrer “MS Dhoni: The Untold Story” witnessed a grand opening at the Box Office on Friday. Yes, it collected a whopping 21.30 crores, thereby breaking the opening day record of “FAN” i.e. 19.20 crores. After “Sultan”, Dhoni’s biopic is the 2nd highest opener of 2016, isn’t that a fantastic achievement? This is the power of M.S Dhoni!
Now, even on the 2nd day, the biopic has got a mind-blowing response and the online booking figures were a reflection of it. Let us see what Taran Adarsh has to say about Saturday collections…

On Saturday, the movie witnessed a slight drop in collections, but still it managed to garner 20.60 crores, which is obviously a good figure.
Everyone expected that since it is a weekend, collections would cross 25 crores, but unfortunately, that didn’t happen. With this, the total collections have reached 41.90 crores, which is fantabulous! On Sunday, no one can stop the movie from entering the 50 crore club!
In Tamil Nadu too, the movie became a super-hit! Even Bollywood movies with big stars haven’t gained so much popularity in the state, as much as this biopic did. For people of Tamil Nadu, Dhoni is the God of Cricket; how could they miss his movie? On the opening day, it garnered 1.85 crores in Tamil Nadu alone, superb!

Day 2 collections – 20.60 crores!
Total – 41.90 crores!
