We saw how ‘Rustom’ had overpowered the 1st day collections of ‘Mohenjo Daro’ with a big margin. Yes, while the Hrithik Roshan starrer managed to mint just 8.87 crores, ‘Rustom’ was able to do a good business i.e. 14.11 crores.
The Akshay Kumar starrer got a good response from critics as well as audience, all thanks to the promotions done by big celebrities. After distributors saw this crazy response, the screen count and number of shows were increased on Saturday.
On the other hand, ‘Mohenjo Daro’ is still struggling to garner good collections. It failed to woo the audience and critics both. 8.87 crores is not even half the expected collections. Since it is a big banner movie, everyone expected it to cross the 15 crore mark on the 1st day itself, but sadly it couldn’t even cross 10 crores.
Now the Saturday collections are out; let us see how much money both the movies have minted.

Now, the collections of the Akshay Kumar starrer have jumped from 14 crores to 16.43 crores, which is definitely a great thing. With these collections, the total has reached 30.54 crores. For ‘Rustom’, the 50 crore mark is not far away. If such collections continue, no one can stop it from entering the 100 crore club very soon!
Poor collections for Mohenjo Daro!
On the other hand, ‘Mohenjo Daro’ once again witnessed poor collections on the 2nd day i.e. just 9.50 crores, as per early estimates. Total of the Hrithik Roshan starrer reaches 18.37 crores with 2nd day collections. We really hope that the flick shows good growth on Sunday.
