There are many unsung heroes who are working for the welfare of the society without any desire of getting fame or expecting anything in return. This Diwali, the CHEEP app decided to celebrate good work done by these heroes and ran a campaign on YouTube and social media networks, asking people to vote for their favourite hero.
The online campaign got 2,278,500 views with more than 15,000 comments and over 5,000 shares. The total number of votes casted was more than 222,145. In simple words, people supported this campaign strongly which made CHEEP decide to felicitate all three silent heroes.
Here are the three unsung heroes who were a part of the campaign CHEEP Wali Diwali:
1. Mark D’Souza
He is also known as Tiffin Man who delivers tiffins to senior citizens. He got 50,963 votes and CHEEP decided to offer him 3 months of free services.
2. Harakchand Savla
The man who has been helping cancer patients day and night in Mumbai has received 82,060 votes and has been offered 3 months of free services by CHEEP.
3. Sunil Satpute
The winner of this contest is Sunil Satpute as he has received 92,122 votes and CHEEP has offered him one year of free service. Sunil has been working for differently-abled kids and for those who are from slum.
