“3rd Test Moved To A New Venue Where Ashwin Averages 12.50 With Ball,” Aussie Media Does It Again

The cricket teams of India and Australia will be clashing against each other in the second test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 at Arun Jaitely Stadium, New Delhi, starting from 17 Feb 2023 and while the hosts will like to continue with their winning streak, the visitors will be desperate to make a comeback in the series.

India is already leading the series by 1-0 as it has won the first test match which was played at Vidarbha Association Cricket Stadium, Nagpur, by an innings and 132 runs. A lot was said about the Nagpur pitch and Australian media left no stone unturned in trying to create a controversy but it hasn’t affected the Indian team and management in any manner.

Few Australian media channels even went on to claim that the pitch in Nagpur was doctored in order to give advantage to the hosts. They also claimed that DRS was rigged when Usman Khawaja was given out and then they accused Ravindra Jadeja of ball tampering when he was seen rubbing pain relief ointment on his index finger during the match.

Now there is news that the venue of the third test match has been changed from Dharamsala to Holkar Stadium, Indore, and the Australian media is trying to create a controversy out of this as well.

The BCCI shared this new development on its official Twitter handle, “NEWS – Venue for third Test of the @mastercardindia Australia tour of India for Border-Gavaskar Trophy shifted to Indore from Dharamsala. #INDvAUS”

In an article published on its official website, the BCCI has stated that the reasons behind the change of the venue are – harsh winter conditions, the outfield also doesn’t have enough grass density and it will take some more time to develop.

Now Fox Cricket is trying to create controversy out of this issue as it is claiming that the decision has been taken in order to help the Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin because he averages 12.50 with ball at Indore.

Fox Cricket tweeted, “BREAKING: The third India Test has been moved to a new venue … where Ravichandran Ashwin averages 12.50 with the ball. #INDvAUS”

Fox Cricket states that venue change is another blow for Australia as Dharamsala would have supported fast bowling.

Ravichandran Ashwin has taken 18 wickets at Holkar Stadium, Indore, as India has played two test matches there till now, in 2016 against New Zealand which India won by 321 runs and in 2019 against Bangladesh in which India attained victory by an innings and 130 runs.

Fox Cricket just wants to create controversies and make noises unnecessarily to grab attention and cheap publicity, doesn’t it?
