5 Times Amitabh Bachchan Has Captured Our Hearts With His Voice

Amitabh Bachchan is rightly termed as BIG B or Shahensha of Bollywood, because he does some really big things. His prestige and popularity needs no introduction. Not only has the star proved his exceptional acting skills in B-Town but has also won our hearts with his multi-talented personality. Mr. Bachchan is not just an actor but is a wonderful singer too.

No matter how boring or dull the lyrics are, it always brightens up with his wonderful voice. His deep and husky baritone which was rejected by All India Radio, is in fact loved by one and all now. His voice is magical and has the ability to touch your hearts with its rawness.

I am sure All India Radio must be missing out on his “Heavy voice” now. Why not refresh our memories and talk about some amazing songs that Big B has sung?

5) Rang Barse – Silsila

It has been over 3 decades that this song was out, but even now, it remains to be on our hit list especially on Holi. The way Big B has sung this song makes us shake a leg every time we hear it. We still can’t get over the pinch of his Allahabadi accent which reflects in the song. Had someone else sung it, we doubt it would have become so popular.

4) Ekla Chalo Re – Kahaani

Big B beautifully vocalized Rabindranath Tagore’s “Ekla Chalo Re” for Kahaani. We loved this song because it had an inspirational feel attached to it. Big B’s voice added some more meaning to the tunes, lyrics and the language of the song. No one could have sung this better than him; in fact, even the actor was thankful for this opportunity.

3) Mere Angne Mein – Lawaaris

This Laawaris track still remains fresh in our hearts. The lyrics, the way it was sung and the impact it created, was IMMENSE. This is one song which will never lose its place in our favorite list. I am sure you still hear and hum this beautiful song, isn’t it? Last year, the actor had tweeted that Mere Angane Mein was conceptualized, given and sung by him; moreover, when we see him and his wife Jaya together, the first thing that we recollect is his line from the song, “Jiski biwi chhoti uska bhi bada naam hai”.

2) Main Yahan Tu Wahan – Baghban

This is another heart-rending track from Baghban. Couples separated by distance are sure to cry their hearts out; after all, Big B has not only sung the song but has put in a bucket of feelings and emotions into it. The best thing about this song was that it got Big B nominated as the best playback singer- male.

1) Sar jo tera chakraye, #NavratnaChampiSong – Pyaasa

Amitabh Bachchan is a package of creativity. Recently, he tried something new and recorded a song for Navratna oil (Emami) in the Acapella style. The name might sound easy, but the style isn’t. In Acapella, every sound i.e. music, drums, singer’s voice and background voices is done by the singer himself. This champi song “Sar Jo Tera Takraaye” is highly interesting, thanks to the actor for making it so with his skills. The beats and sounds are in perfect sync with the song & his fans have got another chance to rejoice.
