In terms of collections, ‘Rustom’ was constantly ahead of ‘Mohenjo Daro’ the whole week. First it entered the 50 crore club and now it is all set to enter the 100 crore club. It has secured the 4th position in the list of top 10 highest grossers of 2016. On the other hand, ‘Mohenjo Daro’ is struggling for good collections since day 1.
Till Tuesday, the collections of ‘Rustom’ were 75.90 while that of ‘Mohenjo Daro’ were 45.90. It is a big margin, isn’t it? Now the 6th day collections are out, let us see what the numbers say.

Although being a weekday, the Akshay Kumar starrer managed to garner 6.38 crores on its 6th day, which is not bad. With this, the total of the movie becomes 82.28 crores.
With such collections, it has broken the record of his own movie ‘Housefull 3’ in terms of 1st week domestic box office collection. Well, ‘Housefull 3’ had garnered around 80.10 crores in its first week and ‘Rustom’ has successfully surpassed that. Soon it would break the records of ‘Airlift’ too which collected 83.50 crores in its 1st week.
Poor ‘Mohenjo Daro!
The Hrithik Roshan starrer has been struggling at the box office to get good numbers. On the 6th day it just minted 4.90 crores, thereby entering the 50 crore club. The biggest mistake which the makers have done is that they have released the movie with ‘Rustom’. As of now the total of the movie stands to 50.80 crores.
