A woman is an epitome of love and nurturing…Not always. These female killers could easily be chalked up as more deadly than Jack The Ripper himself!
1. In 1861, a gang of female serial killers plagued Varanasi. These killers were prostitutes with the leader Rudduah, her servant Sumarkhi and two other women Bilasi and Parbuti. They poisoned their ‘clients’ in order to steal valuables.
2. In 1883, a woman in Calcutta used to lure her female victims with the promise of treats and took them to a deep water tank in a remote place called Kankurgachi. There she forceful drowned them.
3. Lala Wanh married 17 times and killed all her husbands in Bhatinda, Punjab. She took six years to accomplish all these murders and was finally caught in 1951!
4. We know of one bandit queen, Phoolan Devi, did you know that there was one before she rose to infamy? Way back in 1958, Putli bai, the lover of Sultana Daaku and then Kala Gujjar reigned terror until she was killed by the police.
5. Of course, this list wouldn’t be complete without Phoolan Devi, the infamous bandit. She was known for shooting upper caste men and has more than 20 victims to her name.
6. In 1996, a trio of women, Anjanabai Gavit, Renuka Shinde and Seema Gavit kidnapped 13 children and were suspected of killing 9 of them under dark rituals. All the children were under five.
7. In 2007, a women by the name of H.D. Kempamma, infamously known as Cyanide Mallika, was wreaking havoc on men. The serial killer was convicted of six murders in total. She would poison her victims with cyanide.
