The first half of 2018 was really impressive. We can say that the first half of 2018 has been one of the most successful times in Bollywood. There have six movies that made it to the coveted 100 crore club in a period of just six months. Sanju and Padmaavat were one of the highest grossing films. Movies like Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and Raazi came as surprise superhits. Movies like Raazi and Sanju are still doing well at the box-office.
With so many promising movies in the first-half, the audiences are super excited for the second half of the year. The second half of 2018 is lined up with the movies of stars like Aamir Khan, and Shah Rukh Khan. There will be some dhamaka in the second half of 2018. Here, we are talking about the clashes that the Bollywood will experience in the second half of 2018. Following are the films that will face a big clash in the Bollywood in the second half of 2018.
1. Fanney Khan and Mulk – 3rd August
The first big clash will be between the movies Fanney Khan and Mulk in the month of August. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anil Kapoor starrer Fanney Khan will be clashing with Taapsee Pannu and Rishi Kapoor’s Mulk.
2. Gold and Satyamev Jayate – 15th August
Like always, Akshay has a release for this Independence Day. However, this time his movie would face a clash with his Desi Boyz co-star John Abraham’s Satyamev Jayate.
3. Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se, Stree, Andhadhun and Jalebi – 31st August
Yes, all these four movies are slated to release on 31st August. Earlier, Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se was slated to release on 15th August. However, to avoid the clash with Gold and Satyamev Jayate, it sets a new release date. But 4 movies are scheduled to release for this new date. Andhadhun stars Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead, whereas Rhea Chakraborty is the lead in Jalebi. Stree is a horror film starring Rajkumar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead.
4. Sui Dhaaga and Manikarnika – 28th September
Anushka Sharma and Varun Dhawan starrer Sui Dhaaga is all set to face a clash with Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika. It is the first time Anushka and Varun will be seen together in a film.
5. Badhaai Ho, Junglee and Bhaiyaji Superhit – 19th October
Three films are lined up for Dusshera this year. Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra’s Badhaai Ho, Vidyut Jammwal’s Jalebi and Sunny Deol’s Bhaiyajji Superhit. We will also see the actresses like Preity Zinta and Ameesha Patel in Bhaiyajji Superhit. It would be interesting to see which one of these performs well at the box-office and impresses the audiences.
6. 2.0 and Kedarnath – 29th and 30th November
Well, technically it’s not a clash because there is a gap of one day between the release dates of both the films. Though they are not releasing on the same date, box-office collections will be affected. 2.0 is the sequel of Rajinikanth’s Robot which also stars Akshay Kumar. Kedarnath will mark the debut of Saif’s daughter Sara Ali Khan in Bollywood. It also stars Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead.
7. Thugs of Hindostan and Namaste England – 7th December
Aamir Khan’s Thugs of Hindostan is yet to be finalized for the release date. However, the tentative date is 7th December and if it releases on the same date, it will face a clash with Parineeti Chopra and Arjun Kapoor starrer Namaste England. Namaste England will be the sequel to the Namaste London franchise.
8. Zero and The Accidental Prime Minister
Shah Rukh Khan’s much anticipated film Zero will be releasing before Christmas. SRK is playing a dwarf in the movie. SRK stuns in his dwarf look and fans are already going crazy for the movie. However, there is another interesting movie The Accidental Prime Minister which will be releasing the same day. The film is a biopic and Anupam Kher is essaying the role of PM Manmohan Singh in the movie.
