2. Badrinath Ki Dulhania:
Varun Dhawan played the male lead opposite Alia Bhatt in “Badrinath Ki Dulhania” which was directed by Shashank Khaitan and it got released in the year 2017. This movie was a sequel of “Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania” and it earned Rs. 116 crore at the Indian box-office.
3. Raazi:
Directed by Meghna Gulzar, this spy thriller got released in 2018 and it was a big hit. Alia Bhatt played the character of an Indian girl who was married in the family of Pakistani Army officials and she sent some confidential information to her bosses in India. The story of “Raazi” was adapted from Harinder S. Sikka’s novel entitled Calling Sehmat which was based on real events. Talking about the earnings of “Raazi”, it minted around Rs. 123 crore.
4. Gully Boy:
Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt came together for the first time for working in “Gully Boy” which was directed by Zoya Akhtar. Released in 2019, the film was a musical drama and earned Rs. 140 crore at the Indian box-office.
5. Gangubai Kathiawadi:
Alia Bhatt played the title character in Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed “Gangubai Kathiawadi” and she was praised a lot for her acting. The movie was set in the period of 1950-60s and it was based on the true life story of a s*x worker. It was released last year in 2022 and earned Rs. 129 crore.
6. RRR:
Calling “RRR” Alia Bhatt’s movie would be wrong as she played a very small part in Ram Charan and Junior NTR starrer flick. It was released in 2022 and was directed by the famous director SS Rajamouli who earned accolades worldwide for his magnum opus “Baahubali” series.
