Now, another wedding was called off! Reason? Well, it was because no arrangements made for a videographer, can you believe it? Yes, this actually happened; the bride’s family members called off the marriage at the end moment on Sunday in Thuraiyur (Trichy).
This was not the end of the drama!
All this didn’t end so soon. Now, the groom approached Thuraiyur police and claimed that the bride’s family had cheated them and wasted all the money that was spent on the marriage. Well, what is interesting is that both the families are relatives.
What all happened
Things weren’t well between both families since the time the marriage was decided. Senthil (32), who happens to be a lorry driver decided to marry Revathi (30) who happens to be his aunt’s daughter. Revathi’s father, Thangaraj is an employee of SETC or State Express Transport Corporation wanted the wedding to be a grand affair. He was of the opinion that the wedding must be held in a big hall. On the other hand, Senthil believed in cutting down the costs and convinced the family of the bride to hold the ceremony in a small hall of Thuraiyur. Although Senthil promised to arrange a wedding photographer and videographer, he didn’t do so.
Since the bride’s family noticed there is no photographer to cover the rituals, a quarrel broke out. Revathi’s brother, Baskar and another man pulled her out of the wedding hall forcefully and called off the marriage. The bride who was shocked to see all this fainted and was immediately rushed to Thuraiyur government hospital.
Senthil, on the other hand approached Thuraiyur police, who in turn took him to the hospital for discussing and settling things with the bride. The bride’s father, Thangaraj kept on saying that he was irked over not having a videographer for covering the wedding.
A Sub-Inspector from Thuraiyur Police Station, Thangavelu stated that
“Though Senthil was ready to marry her, the bride was not willing as he had insulted her father by not making proper arrangements,”
