Well, we all find something or someone in our life who inspires us! Even this guy’s story is very inspirational and is going to bring tears to your eyes. Want to hear? OK! Let us tell you…
On 1st of July, a Bengaluru resident, Shrikant Singh hired an Uber after work. Hiring cabs has become quite common these days and almost 50 percent of the working population does this. But Shrikant never knew that this Uber ride would be such an emotional one.

Shrikant who is a Senior Category Manager at Amazon got into the cab and was greeted by Anand (driver)! To add to it, he was greeted in fluent English. Showing interest in Singh’s work, Anand asked “So, how long do you think this e-commerce bubble will last?”
Seeing his fluent English and interest in these matters, Shrikant was very curious to hear Anand’s story. Well, you too would be very surprised. Anand is basically an IIT-Kharagpur graduate and for 30 years, he worked in India and US with reputed companies. Now, he owns 50 cars that ply with Uber and also owns a strawberry farm in Mysore.
In spite of his social status and qualifications, Anand decided to quit his job. We know what you are thinking! Right now you might be wondering why such a successful IIT person chose to switch to Uber, isn’t it? So, here’s the reason…

This was because Anand’s Uber driver had died in a car accident. Now, the family of the deceased didn’t agree on taking money as compensation. For supporting them and helping them earn their daily living, Anand decided to drive the car himself and give them the money this way. Shrikant was in tears after he heard Anand’s story. He updated this on Facebook too. Have a look at the FB post!
As soon as Shrikant posted this incident on Facebook, it received around 66,000 likes, 9,800 shares and 100 comments. Seeing the map route in Singh’s post, some people stated that Anand had taken a very long route even though a shorter one was available. While some took it quite positively and appreciated Anand, there were some others who had their own doubts! However, few other people said that they too had taken a ride in Anand’s cab and heard the same story. Have a look!
Driver ripped you off!

Fishy!

Driver is fooling!

Shrikant replied!

Shrikant’s reply read “A lot has been discussed about the logic of the trip length. All I can say is that there was was a reason behind that and given the virality of this post, I would rather keep quiet and let everyone speculate..”.
So guys, how did you find this story? Well, we are sure you have become emotional too! Do let us know your comments in our comments section below..
