A 20 year old girl attempted suicide by setting herself on fire for a very strange reason! Want to know what happened? Well, she was having bath in the shed of her house and while bathing, she realized that an 18 year boy was seeing her. Being very shocked and embarrassed with this, she tried to end her life.
This incident happened in Bhilawara district’s Delana village. She sustained 70 percent burn injuries and was then admitted to an Udaipur’s hospital. Police officials have arrested the father of the boy, Kishanlal Vaishnav and also a relative, Bhawan Das, for criminal trespass.
As per reports, Pradeep Mohan Sharma, the Bhilwara superintendent of Police says that “She suddenly realized that a boy was peeping. When she shouted, her maternal uncle came out and nabbed the boy,”
Sharma also added that earlier the girl’s family had reprimanded the boy. Then, the drama increased further when the relative of the boy and his father Kishanlal came to the girl’s house and started fighting with her maternal uncle.
Pradeep Mohan Sharma says
“Seeing the scuffle, the girl felt she was responsible for the trouble and tried to immolate herself. When we recorded her statement at the hospital, she clearly mentioned that the boy’s act had triggered the confrontation and her suicide attempt,”
The boy has fled and is not to be found. The statement of the girl would be taken once again for investigating the incident’s other angles. Sharma says
“There is a possibility that the maternal uncle of the girl may have seen her in a compromising position with the boy. This could have triggered the tension between the two families. However, we will take a final statement from the girl again to reconfirm things related to the case,”
