Heated discussions do take place while travelling in trains, but this was way ‘TOO MUCH’. On the Garib Rath Express from New Delhi to Ranchi, a heated debate took place between 2 passengers with regards to the rising tension in Kashmir.
The ‘Azadi Movement’ is gaining a lot of momentum in Jammu & Kashmir after the killing of Burhan Wani, the Hizab commander by Indian Armed Forces. It is reported that Kashmiris all over India are facing lot of insecurity and threats.

MS Baig (32), a Kashmiri passenger was travelling from New Delhi to Uttar Pradesh in Garibrath Express’ coach G-14. In the same coach, there was an unidentified passenger from Jharkhand.
Reportedly, Baig had said “The Indian Armed Forces will be driven away from Kashmir by Pakistani forces like dogs’, on which the passenger from Jharkhand hurled abuses at him and physically assaulted him too.
According to reports, other fellow passengers on the coach said that the passenger from Jharkhand slapped Baig since he abused the Indian Army.

Another passenger named Jagmohan Singh said that;
“We were in the next coupe when we heard heated arguments. The victim was heard saying that the Indian Army will be driven away from Kashmir by Pakistani forces like dogs. He was also reportedly saying northern India will be in trouble if Kashmir stops providing water,”
As of now, no one has lodged a formal complaint with Railway Police officials.
