Inhuman! This Young Mumbai Girl Beaten Up For Boarding The ‘WRONG’ Train!

Local trains are the lifeline of Mumbai, but do you feel like travelling by it when they are overly-crowded? Crowded trains cause a lot of chaos and something similar happened with Rutuja Naik, a 20 year old student on Tuesday who boarded an overly crowded 8.40 am Virar-Churchgate train from Virar’s platform no. 2. She wanted to get down at Vasai, but she had to face a lot of difficulties for getting inside the train as well as while getting out.

Owing to this chaos, Rutuja suffered from an asthamatic attack, but somehow managed to get in. She was in a bad condition, with her T-shirt and hair all pulled off.

What happened was that, as soon as Rutuja got in the train, women started commenting that those who want to get down at Vasai must board the Borivali-Andheri train or the Bandra one instead of Churchgate local.

Some women also went ahead and argued that due to passengers alighting at Vasai, the foot-board gets blocked and this makes it extremely difficult for people who board the train at Nalasopara (The station after Virar).

Now, when Rutuja was trying to get down at Vasai, those women beat her real bad! They tried stopping her and forcibly pulled her inside. They wanted to teach Rutuja a lesson and hence stopped her. The women scratched her and punched her while she was trying to get out. However, in spite of all this, she managed to get out with the help of 3 commuters who pulled her outside.

Mahesh Bagwe, the GRP inspector of Vasai stated that now, a non-cognisable offence is filed against those women. Rutuja also stated that she can easily identify those women. Next day around 8.10 am, Rutuja reached Virar station for identifying them. As per reports, the accused are identified as Ashwani Gaurav, Naina Thakur, Neha Thakur and Deepali Sawant.

These 4 women are residents of Nalasopara and they board trains from Nalasopara itself, after which they travel to Virar, get seats and then go back to Churchgate.
