Deepa Malik made India proud! Yes, she secured a silver medal in Rio Paralympics’ shotput F-53 event, thereby making everyone super-happy.
Deepa had 6 attempts, but her 4.61m throw was the best one, and was surely enough for her to bag that silver medal for the country.
Well, she is a mom of 2 and is a paraplegic, i.e. from waist down, she is paralysed.
Moreover, her life came to a halt 17 years back, when it was just impossible for her to even walk, due to her spinal tumor.
You won’t believe but ’31 SURGERIES’ were performed on her and there were around 183 stitches between her legs and waist. After hearing all this, can you even imagine she has won a silver medal?
She has made impossible things in her life possible, with her hard work, dedication and determination.
