After Surgical Strikes were conducted successfully on terrorist camps across the LoC, congratulatory messages started pouring in from all over the country. Everyone was satisfied that finally a prompt and much-needed action was taken.
The launch pads were destroyed successfully, leaving behind heavy damages and several casualties. There was no Indian casualty and this shows how efficiently the attack was executed.
Now, Burger Singh, a famous burger joint in Gurgaon, came up with something different to celebrate the victory of India. Yes, the joint announced promotional offers and 20 percent discount on all orders.
On seeing this, many people slammed Burger Singh for its insensitive marketing strategy. Furious people started questioning the joint as to how could it take advantage of this situation and do promotions this way. Even the code ‘FPak‘ was a very insensitive one, don’t you think so? Hereβs the offerβ¦
Many people even took to Twitter and lashed out at the joint! Here are their furious tweets…
Highly insensitive!
Dear @BurgerSinghs,
You mixed up patriotism with jingoism. Celebrating a surgical strike with a discount on burgers is highly insensitive. pic.twitter.com/qV2oTegIYz— βππππ ππ¦ππ₯π πΉππ©π₯ππ£-βππ₯πππ (@FreakyLiterati) September 29, 2016
F your immaturity!
Terrible advertising by #BurgerSingh. Since when is an attack on TERRORISTS equal to one on all of Pakistan? Don't "fpak", F your immaturity

However, after being backfired for this βOpportunisticβ offer, Burger Singh made a Facebook post, giving a justification on the same. The joint also stated that it had no intentions of harming or hurting peopleβs sentiments. Well, it didn’t stop the offer but increased the discount from 20 percent to 30 percent and this time, they had a politically correct code i.e. strike30. Have a look at its Facebook post…
Celebration is good, but taking advantage of such a critical situation and announcing promotional offers is definitely not a good idea. What do you have to say about this? Do let us know your thoughts in our comments section below.
