Commenting on this achievement, the Chairman of RIL, Mukesh Ambani said

“We are delighted and humbled by the overwhelming response across India to the Jio Welcome Offer. Jio is built to empower every Indian with the power of data. We are delighted that people have recognized this and are utilizing our services to the fullest. We are customer-obsessed and committed to improve every day to exceed expectations of our customers.”

The company has a target of ’100 million customers’ and this is not at all difficult, considering the current pace. Unlike other telecom operators, Jio offered Aadhaar card based paperless activation, thereby making things easier. People who didn’t have time to stand in those long queues and fill up forms, got an easy option.

If this pace continues, very soon, Jio would beat the competitors in every possible way.
