Pratyusha Banerjee who rose to fame owing to her role of Anandi in the popular television show Balika Vadhu committed suicide in her Goregaon apartment on April 1 this year. Ever since, there has been much uncertainty as to whether it was a case of suicide or murder.
Rahul Raj Singh, boyfriend of Pratyusha, who was accused of provoking the actress for this drastic step has been given a bail and is out now. Needless to say, he was the one around whom the whole story revolved chiefly.
Subsequent to a long series of allegations about the chaos and disorder in the lives of Pratyusha and Rahul regarding their relationship in addition to his alleged physical abuse, here comes a shocking twist!
In recent times, a copy of the transcript of Pratyusha’s last phone call to her boyfriend was accessed by Mumbai Mirror. The conversation was about three minutes long in which the actress said,
“B******d man.. I f**k so hard.. In my life I f**k so hard… for everything… I had not come here to sell myself… I had come here to act… to work. And where are you putting me today.. Rahul, you have no idea how bad I am feeling right now.”
According to the lawyer of Pratyusha’s parents, Neeraj Gupta,
“This conversation happened between Rahul and Pratyusha just before her death. In this conversation, it is very clear that she was forced into prostitution by Rahul, as later on in the same phone call she has used the word ‘prostitution’.”
Pratyusha was heard saying this in the transcript’s second half,
“You are selfish… you are spoiling my name. People are talking about me… my mom and dad are termed ghatiya. Rahul, it’s over. I am over. Mar gayi mein (I am dead)”.
And when Singh made an attempt of consoling and relaxing the actress by saying that she would find him with her at home in the next 30 minutes, Banerjee said,
“Everything will be over in half an hour”.
