3 Men Tried To Smuggle Foreign Currency Worth Rs 29 Lakh By Hiding It In Their Rectum

It is indeed highly dangerous to smuggle something by hiding it inside your body, as it can even lead to death in some cases, especially when drugs are smuggled. But regardless of its being so perilous or even life-threatening, such instances of smuggling don’t stop.

On Friday, three men have been booked as they were making an attempt of smuggling foreign currency to Dubai by hiding bills in their rectum. As per Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) of Customs’ officer, one of them was suffering from rectal bleeding as well.

All the three people named Shanawz Khan, Mohsin Khan and Ahmed Nagree had been going to Dubai and when the authority detained them, they had crossed immigration counter. Currency was seized by AIU who recorded statements of the three and then set them free.

AIU received details of these flyers from Directorate of Revenue Intelligence which had precise information about them. Consequently, those three guys having just handbags were captured.

In the course of interrogation, the flyers allegedly confessed to have hidden, in their rectums, 1,65,000 dirhams which is Rs 29 lakh in Indian currency. The handler of the money gave them instructions of delivering it to some guy in Dubai and as per officers, the currency might have been smuggled for buying gold in Dubai so that gold could be smuggled in India subsequently.

Those three men are not in a good financial condition and hence to get commission, agreed for becoming carriers. Two of these had been going to a foreign country for the first time ever and work in a garage while the other man said that he already smuggled foreign currency by making use of the similar method.

It’s often seen that people indulge in such tasks due to financial crisis but shouldn’t they think that if they are not alive, who else will take care of their family for the rest of their lives?
