Yesterday was definitely a bad day for all common people! It was good in one way that Modi announced such a drastic decision overnight to curb black money and corruption, but on the other hand, people were left cashless yesterday.
After the ban on Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes, people literally had no idea about what is to be done. No one had too many Rs 50 or Rs 100 notes so that they could lead their normal life. It was as if everything was halted in a moment, since all ways were BLOCKED! Yes, with all banks and ATMs being shut, there was no way to get money.
Many people managed to collect some money from here and there and met their basic needs. Then, we also came across some sweet shopkeepers who were ready to give us goods on credit till the banks and ATMs open.
