This Army Man Slammed Modi Supporters Who Compared Common Man In Queue To Soldiers!

Since Narendra Modi has become the PM of India (2014), every now and then, Indian Jawans are dragged into unnecessary controversies. People give their example as to how they handle harsh conditions at the borders with courage and sincerity. This comparison is very common when it comes to “NATIONALISM”. For instance, if an Indian citizen says that intolerance levels are increasing in the country, another one is quick enough to say “How dare you say this? Look at our brave soldiers who make sacrifices”. Does this mean that the person who expresses his disagreement is an anti-nationalist? We don’t think so, but pseudo nationalists definitely feel this way! In spite of India being a democratic country, people are termed as anti-nationalists if they oppose any new move by the government.

How pseudo-nationalists behave?

Take for example demonetization announced by PM Modi. If you support it, you get all the praises and appreciation, but the moment you oppose it, you get the tag of being an “Anti-nationalist”. Modi supporters will slam you in every possible way they can and will point out their fingers towards soldiers.

Do you feel that this comparison is correct in any way? Let us look at a recent incident & analyze it in detail. A retired Army veteran has something to say on this and you will surely agree to his views. He slammed all those supporters who unnecessarily drag soldiers in between so that they can hide the truth and get support for their lame arguments.

Read the incident!

Lt. Colonel Darshan Dhillon who retired from Indian Army in 2006 went to the ATM to withdraw cash. There was a lot of mismanagement and this irritated him a lot. He had to stand in the queue for hours to withdraw his money.

As soon as he showed some irritation towards it, a Modi supporter who was standing behind him was prompt enough to do this comparison “Why are you perturbed? Think about about army persons standing 20 hrs in day on border.”

Colonel wasn’t going to take it casualy; his reply shut the mouth of that person. He shared this post on Facebook and you all MUST READ it. His post read;

“I was standing in long ATM Q and getting irritated on mismanagement on a good issue. The fellow Modi supporter behind gave me a quick reaction by saying, why are you perturbed think about about army persons standing 20 hrs in day on border.
My curt reply removed his deshbhagti with a jolt when I told him that I did that on border for 20 years and standing here to withdraw my pension on that account. He should show his deshbhagti in getting us actual OROP and CPC from Modi ji rather than issuing certificates in ATM lines.

Here’s his actual Facebook post;

We agree to his views and all supporters of demonetization should read this! It is not bad to support note ban, but one must not be blindfolded by Modi Bhakti. Supporters can’t deny or hide the fact that this move has indeed caused a lot of inconvenience. Common man is suffering a lot due to this & the hassles he faces cannot be ignored. Is it a joke to stand in the ATM lines for hours and hours to withdraw one’s own money? Is it a joke to compromise on daily needs, just because there is severe shortage of cash? Why are supporters not able to understand this?

Situation before 2014 v/s current government!

Till 2014, when PM Modi wasn’t elected, Indian citizens used to burn effigy of leaders in case they weren’t satisfied with the decision passed by the government. Obviously, we don’t support such harsh steps and nor are they needed in a democratic country like India. Burning effigy is not the solution to oppose the note ban; but at least such blind support is not at all expected. Every person has the right to think the way he wants. When people used to burn effigy, no one was considered as an anti-national during that time, but now, even if one simply passes a derogatory statement against the ban, he gets that label. How far do you think that is right?

We don’t say that the supporters are wrong, but even non-supporters are right. Everyone has his own personal view which can’t be forced or changed. If a person is not supporting demonetization or is facing problems due to that, a supporter can’t force him to accept the move and appreciate it.
