On Wednesday, the apex court of India gave a judgment according to which National Anthem must be played in the cinema halls before the screening of any movie and the National Flag should appear on the screen.

The court also added that every person present in the cinema hall should stand up to give respect to the National Anthem.

A bench of the Supreme Court Justices, Dipak Misra and Amitava Roy, stated,

“People now-a-days don’t know how to sing National Anthem and people must be taught. We must respect National Anthem.”

The bench further added,

“Time has come when people must respect National Anthem which is part of constitutional patriotism. People must feel that it is their country. It is because of the country that they are enjoying freedom and liberty.”

For @juniorbachchan movies, #NationalAnthem should be played after the movie so that we can wake up, stand up, respect nation and go home.😁

Epic troll:

Nothing ignites the patriotic in you as standing up for the national anthem right before watching a movie like grand masti#NationalAnthem

Threatening?

SC orders everyone to stand when national anthem is played before movies. If you don't stand, people will make sure you can't stand.

Here comes a fitness freak!

in theatre ppl sit for 2 hrs with no body movement so if they stand up for sometime before screening it will help in fitness
