Forbes has released the list of top 74 most powerful people of 2016 and you will be delighted to see the list. Do you know who topped it? Well, it is Vladimir Putin, the Russian President and this is the 4th time in a row that he has topped it. The 2nd place is secured by Donald Trump, the President of America.
You’ll be super happy to know that even PM Modi too has made his way to the list. Out of 74 people selected, the Prime Minister has got the 9th place, isn’t it something to be proud of? Forbes said that PM has always been influential and has gained a lot of popularity in India, that has population of 1.3 billion people.
Forbes said
“PM Modi has raised his profile as a global leader in recent years during official visits with Barack Obama and Xi Jinping. He has also emerged as a key figure in the international effort to tackle climate change, as planetary warming will deeply affect millions of his country’s rural and most vulnerable citizens.”
US President Obama is on the 48th position, which is way too far from PM Modi. According to Forbes, there are 7.4 billion humans on Earth, but the world has been transformed by these 74 men and women who have made it to this list of powerful people.
The list also includes Mukesh Ambani, the Chairman of Reliance industries on the 38th spot and Satya Nadella, the CEO of Microsoft. Out of 74, 68 are men and 6 are women.
