Flipkart is all set to host its sale “Big Shopping Days” which would start on the 18th of December and end on the 21st of December. However, what’s interesting is Flipkart’s ad of OnePlus 3, which it claims would be available at a price below Rs 20,000.

But wait, how’s that possible, since OnePlus 3 is exclusive to Amazon India. If this is the case, how can Flipkart tease the smartphone on its platform and that too for such a low price.
Originally, the price of the phone is Rs 27,999, as listed on Amazon India; so, how is the rival making it available at cheap rates? Worth thinking, isn’t it? There’s a likelihood that the price at which Flipkart is offering OnePlus 3 will be inclusive of cashback or other exchange offers; but still it’s surprising to see an Amazon exclusive phone on its page.

On seeing this ad by Flipkart, Carl Pei, the Co-founder of OnePlus was surprised. He tweeted to the Co-founder of Flipkart, Sachin Bansal but failed to receive any sort of explanation. Here are his tweets..

OnePlus India also released a statement which read
“The company is focused on creating premium flagship smartphones. We have an exclusive partnership with Amazon in India. We advice customers to purchase OnePlus products only through official channels as we cannot guarantee the authenticity of the products sold elsewhere.”
OnePlus3 is the major launch of this year and has gained popularity for offering good features at such a low price i.e. 27,999. We really wonder as to how it is available under Rs 20,000 on Flipkart!
Only time will tell whether the ad was authentic or fake. What’s your take on this? Do share your views in our comments section below.
