Forbes has come out with its list of top 100 India celebrities and do you know who has topped it? Well, it is Salman Khan who is ruling at No. 1 and he has beaten SRK, Virat Kohli and Deepika Padukone.
Do you know how Forbes decides the names? It is based on 2 factors i.e. estimates of fame and entertainment related earnings. The period of judging them was 1st of October 2015 to the 30th of September of 2016.
Sallu bhai was ruling the Box Office in the year 2016 with his movie “Sultan” and this is the biggest thing responsible for him getting the 1st position in the Forbes India Celebrity list. He has the highest revenue i.e. Rs 270.33 crores
SRK (Rank 2) couldn’t make it to the 1st position, because for him, it was an average year. Talking about Virat Kohli, he is on the 1st position with respect to the fame estimates.
Moreover, his earnings are Rs 134.44 crores, which made him attain the 3rd rank with respect to the monetary aspect. Virat beats Akshay Kumar(4) and Sachin Tendulkar(7). Akshay Kumar has gained the 4th position, due to various successful movies like Houseful 3, Rustom and Airlift. Moreover, he has a long list of brand endorsements as well.
Although MS Dhoni retired from Test Cricket in the year 2014, he became famous due to biopic and this fetched him the 5th position in the fame aspect. In spite of retirement Sachin Tendulkar is at no.7 with earnings of rs 58 crores.
