There is a lot of buzz surrounding the upcoming polls in 5 states; everyone is busy contesting elections and doing campaigning for their particular parties. Amidst all this, we have “Fakkad baba” from Mathura (UP) who is all set to contest the elections for not the 1st or 2nd time but for the 16th time.
He started contesting elections both in Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha from the year 1976. Unfortunately, he has been losing since then!
Aren’t you wondering as to why Baba is contesting elections in spite of losing 16 times? Well, it is his prediction that he would definitely win the elections when he contests for the 20th time; yeah, the 20th chance will turn the tables!
Fakkad Baba follows his Guru Shankaracharya Nischalananda Saraswati and according to him, he is sure that he will enjoy the win on contesting for the 20th time. LOL, it’s strange!
As of now, Baba is busy in filing the nomination papers and is ready to accept defeat happily. He says “All politicians are liars. Only ascetics like me can ensure honesty in public life and development for the people.”
Fakkad Baba hasn’t lost hope even though he is 73; his main intention is changing the scenario of UP politics, which according to him is corrupt and money-minded.

He adds “Unlike politicians who forget their voters after being elected, I will ensure development of the city and its residents.”
So let’s cheer for Baba even though he is ready for 3 continuous defeats even after these elections (17th, 18th and 19th time). Let’s hope he wins as per his prediction!
