To promote wrestling talent in India, Pro Wrestling League was founded in year 2015 where Revanta Mumbai Garuda emerge as victorious. Now this is 2nd season of Pro Wrestling League which got kicked off on 2nd Jan 2017.
Final match is between Haryana Hammers and Punjab Royals on 19th Jan.
Baba Ramdev played a friendly and exhibition match with Beijing Olympic silver medallist Andrey Stadnik on evening of 18th Jan.
Baba Ramdev convincingly defeated Andrey Stadnik by 12-0.
Andrey Stadnik is the same wrestler who had defeated wrestler Sushil Kumar in Beijing Olympics. Andrey then reached the finals, giving Sushil Kumar an opportunity to play in repechage and won a bronze medal.

After the match, Baba Ramdev said that wrestling will excel in the upcoming years and will become one of the most followed sports in the world.
This is not the first time when Baba Ramdev has challenged an international wrestler. Last year, on the occasion of 20th anniversary of his Ashram in Haridwar, he had challenged Sushil Kumar.
