We all know that airline rules are very strict and we can’t break them at all, isn’t it? However, there is one couple who was successful in delaying the flight by 7 hours; yes, you heard that right.
The couple did something which delayed an Air Asia flight I5 1129 from Bengaluru to Kochi by 7 hours; can you believe it? What happened was that it was 8 pm and the young couple Arjun and Neha Gopinathan, was stuck in traffic; they knew that they would in no way be able to reach the airport on time for their 8.45 pm flight. This was when they decided to do “Something” for delaying the flight.
Yes, due to their so-called master plan, the flight took off at 3.30am on Thursday instead of 8.45 pm on Wednesday i.e. a 7 hour delay. Don’t you want to know more about their plan?
At around 8.31 pm, they called up the Kempegowda International Airport and announced that there was a bomb planted on the Kochi flight; yes, they spread a bomb hoax, which caused a storm at the airport. After this call, the authorities asked the other 160 passengers, who had already boarded the flight, to get off the plane and get the luggage re-screened.
After 6 hours of search by the bomb squad, the authorities finally realized that there was no bomb in the flight and it was just a prank. During police investigation, the suspicion fell on Neha and Arjun. This was because Air Asia authorities had received several calls from them for delaying the flight since they were stuck in traffic. Since the officials refused to delay, the duo thought of using this trick.
Around 8.59 pm, Neha and Arjun reached the airport; after being questioned by the police, it was found that the couple was traveling to Mavelikkara near Alappuzha for engagement; police traced the bomb call to the same location and immediately arrested them.
