Mukesh Ambani, the Managing Director and the Chairperson of Reliance Industries is celebrating the success of Jio; it is surprising to know that the 100 million customer mark has been crossed in only 170 days.
Some key announcements were made during the address; from the 1st of April, free data usage, free data usage and free video calls would be ended and new tariff plans will be launched. However one notable announcement is that Jio Prime members would be able to enjoy unlimited benefits of New Year Offer till March 31st, 2018, isn’t it?
Given below are some key announcements that were made in the session;
1. Going by the analysis, around 7 customers have been added to the Jio Network, every second every day.
2. The total consumption of data was around 100 crore GB every month; this means the per day average is 3.3 crores GB.
3. 200 crore minutes of voice and video calls are being made on Jio every day
4. On all new tariff plans by Jio (From 1st of April), domestic voice calls to other network will be free.
5. To stay ahead in the competition, Jio will analyze the highest selling plan of other providers; after analyzing, the company will offer 20 percent more data as compared to that plan. GREAT!
6. Jio Prime members can enjoy free services (Jio New Year Offer) till the 31st of March 2018.
7. For availing the New Year offer till 31st of March, Rs 303 per month have to be paid i.e. Rs 10 per day.
8. Jio Prime members can enroll at the nearby retail store, MyJio or Jio.com from 1st March – 31st of March 2017
This is indeed a great announcement by Jio, isn’t it? All voice calls free forever is like a treat. Moreover, for JIO Prime members, it is a reason to rejoice because they have to pay just Rs 10 per day to avail free voice and data.
