Indian Railways has definitely changed a lot and it has now become much passenger-friendly than it used to be earlier and the credit for the same goes to the Indian Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu and his team.
There have been many cases in which passengers have sought help from railways through the micro-blogging site Twitter and surprisingly, Indian Railways has responded promptly.
This time again, Indian Railways helped the parents of an infant by arranging milk for the baby. On Sunday, a couple was travelling with their 5 months old baby (Kartiki) in Hapa Tirunelveli Express, as they were going to Tirunelveli but the problem aroused when the milk that they bought for the baby curdled because of the heat and the toddler started crying due to hunger. The milk in pantry car was also finished and the next station was Ratnagiri, which was quite far.
A co-passenger Sneha Bapat began to tell about the baby’s situation to her friends and it was then that one of her friends named Anagha Nikam sent a tweet to Konkan Railway, informing them about the baby and asking for help.
She posted a pic of the baby and wrote, “This baby needs milk, baby traveling with her parents in @KonkanRailway ,’s Happa express , please contact Sneha Bapat traveling with them”

The officials of Konkan Railway immediately responded and milk was provided at the Kolad station.
Here’s how the conversation took place:
PNR noted!
Task accomplished!
Later, Anagha Nikam posted another pic of the baby (who looked happy after getting milk) and wrote, “Kartiki is so lucky, she got milk in running Happa express, Thank you @KonkanRailway @sureshpprabhu”
