Victory For Jio! TRAI Blocks Airtel’s Misleading 4G Data Offers Due To Jio’s Complaint!

Last month, Jio had filed a complaint with TRAI and had asked the body to look into Airtel and other telecom companies’ violation of tariff rules. According to Jio, Airtel was offering discriminatory and misleading offers to the customers under the same plan.

The war between both the telecom giants is becoming intense day by day; once again they are at loggerheads.

After reviewing the complaint filed by Jio, TRAI said that many telecom operators launch tariff plans without registering with it. Even TRAI agreed that the companies are doing this discrimination.

Now, the body has directed all operators, especially Airtel to stop these discriminating offers right away; also it has asked Airtel to register new offers within 7 days of launch.

Basically, Jio had lodged complaint on the basis of Airtel’s Rs 293 and Rs 449 4G data plans.

Acting upon Jio’s complaint, TRAI said,
